களஞ்சியம் - சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ்

"களஞ்சியம்" என்ற பெயரே ஒரு கருவூலத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது. பரந்து விரிந்த, தொன்மையான தமிழியல் உலகின் செழுமையான களஞ்சியமாகவும், அறிவார்ந்த பார்வைகளின் துடிப்பான தொகுப்பாகவும் திகழ வேண்டும் என்பதே எங்கள் பேரார்வம்.

ஆழ்ந்த கல்விசார் உரையாடல்கள், உலகளாவிய அணுகலைப் பெறும் ஒரு தளத்தை நாங்கள் உருவாக்க விரும்பினோம். தமிழ் மொழி, இலக்கியம், வரலாறு, கலை, பண்பாடு மற்றும் இவை சார்ந்த துறைகளில் தங்களை அர்ப்பணித்த சிறந்த அறிஞர்கள் ஒன்றுகூடி தங்கள் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளைப் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளும் ஒரு மேடையே இது. அதனால்தான், தொடக்கம் முதலே, நாங்கள் ஒரு திறந்த அணுகல், சக மதிப்பாய்வு, பல்துறை, காலாண்டு, அறிவார்ந்த இந்திய ஆய்விதழாக இருக்க உறுதியெடுத்தோம். அறிவு என்பது தடையின்றி, தாராளமாகப் பாய வேண்டும் என்று நாங்கள் நம்புகிறோம்.

ஆரம்பகட்ட எண்ணத்தில் இருந்து, ஆய்வுக்கட்டுரைகளுக்கான எங்களின் முதல் அழைப்பு வெளியாகும் வரை, இங்கு வந்து சேர்வது ஒரு நீண்ட பயணமாக இருந்தது. பொள்ளாச்சி, 90, பாலக்காடு சாலை, 642001 இல் அமைந்துள்ள நல்லமுத்து கவுண்டர் மகாலிங்கம் கல்லூரியின் நூலகத் துறையால் பேணி வளர்க்கப்பட்ட ஒரு முயற்சியாக இருப்பதில் நாங்கள் பெருமிதம் கொள்கிறோம். இந்த முயற்சிக்கு அவர்களின் ஆதரவே அடித்தளமாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

தரத்திற்கான எங்கள் அர்ப்பணிப்பு அசைக்க முடியாதது. களஞ்சியத்திற்குச் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்படும் ஒவ்வொரு கட்டுரையும் கடுமையான இரட்டைப் பார்வையற்ற சக மதிப்பாய்வுக் கொள்கைக்கு (double-blind peer review policy) உட்படுத்தப்படும். இது நேர்மை, புறநிலைத்தன்மை மற்றும் உயர்ந்த கல்வித் தரங்களை உறுதிசெய்கிறது. ஆய்வாளர்களின் நேரத்தின் மதிப்பை நாங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்கிறோம். மதிப்பாய்வைப் பொறுத்து, பொதுவாக 1 முதல் 2 வாரங்களுக்குள் ஒப்புதல் அளிக்கப்படும் வகையிலான திறமையான மதிப்பாய்வு செயல்முறையை நாங்கள் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளோம்.

நல்லமுத்து கவுண்டர் மகாலிங்கம் கல்லூரியின் தமிழ்த் துறை இணைப் பேராசிரியரான, மதிப்பிற்குரிய முதன்மைப் பதிப்பாசிரியர் முனைவர் ஆ. மகாலட்சுமி அவர்கள் இந்த இலட்சியப் பார்வைக்குத் தலைமை தாங்குகிறார். ஆய்விதழின் திசையை வடிவமைப்பதிலும் அதன் அறிவார்ந்த நேர்மையைக் காப்பதிலும் அவரது நிபுணத்துவமும் அர்ப்பணிப்பும் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றுகின்றன.

களஞ்சியத்தை முடிந்தவரை அனைவரையும் உள்ளடக்கியதாகவும், பரந்த வீச்சுடையதாகவும் நாங்கள் வடிவமைத்துள்ளோம். இது ஒரு இணைய இதழ் என்பதால், இதன் வீச்சு உண்மையாகவே சர்வதேச அளவிலானது. தமிழ் (தமிழ்) மற்றும் ஆங்கிலம் (English) ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளிலும் வெளிவரும் ஆய்வுகளை நாங்கள் வரவேற்கிறோம். இதன்மூலம் தமிழாய்வின் பன்மொழிச் சூழலைக் கொண்டாடும் ஒரு பன்மொழி உரையாடலை வளர்க்கிறோம். மேலும், ஒரு காலாண்டிதழாக, கல்வி சமூகத்திற்குப் புதிய, முற்போக்கான ஆய்வுகளைத் தவறாமல் வழங்குவோம் என உறுதியளிக்கிறோம்.

எங்கள் முயற்சிகள் இப்போதே அங்கீகரிக்கப்படுவதில் நாங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியடைகிறோம். களஞ்சியம், கூகுள் ஸ்காலர் (Google Scholar) மற்றும் பல புகழ்பெற்ற ஆய்வுத் தரவுத்தளங்களில் பெருமையுடன் சுட்டியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதன்மூலம் எங்கள் பக்கங்களில் வெளியிடப்படும் படைப்புகள் தகுதியான கவனத்தையும் தாக்கத்தையும் பெறுவதை உறுதிசெய்கிறது.

வளர்ந்து வரும் இந்தக் கருவூலத்தில் பங்களிக்க ஆர்வமுள்ளவர்கள், எங்கள் ஆசிரியர் வழிகாட்டுதல்களைப் பின்பற்ற வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம். அனைத்துச் சமர்ப்பிப்புகளிலும் தெளிவையும் நிலைத்தன்மையையும் உறுதி செய்வதற்காக அவை வடிவமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

இது ஒரு தொடக்கம்தான். களஞ்சியத்தின் பக்கங்களை நிரப்பப் போகும் வியத்தகு ஆய்வுகளைக் காண நாங்கள் ஆவலாக உள்ளோம். அறிஞர்கள், ஆய்வாளர்கள் மற்றும் ஆர்வலர்கள் அனைவரையும் இந்த முயற்சியில் எங்களுடன் இணைய அழைக்கிறோம் - தமிழாய்வின் எல்லையற்ற செழுமையை ஆராயவும், கேள்வி எழுப்பவும், கொண்டாடவும், உண்மையாகப் புரிந்துகொள்ளவும் வாருங்கள்.

களஞ்சியம் - சர்வதேசத் தமிழ் ஆய்விதழ். The name itself, "Kalanjiyam," means "treasure trove," and that's precisely what we aspire to be: a rich repository, a vibrant collection of scholarly insights into the vast and ancient world of Tamil studies.

We envisioned a space where rigorous academic discourse meets global accessibility. A platform where the brilliant minds dedicated to Tamil language, literature, history, art, culture, and beyond, could converge and share their discoveries. That's why, from day one, we committed to being an Open Access, Peer-Reviewed, Multidisciplinary Quarterly Scholarly Indian Journal. We believe knowledge should flow freely, unhindered by barriers.

It's been a journey to get here, from the initial concept to seeing our first call for papers go out. We're so proud to be an initiative nurtured by the Department of Library at Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College, Pollachi, located at 90, Palghat Road, Pollachi 642001. Their support has been the bedrock of this venture.

Our commitment to quality is unwavering. Every single article submitted to Kalanjiyam will undergo a strict double-blind peer review policy. This ensures fairness, objectivity, and the highest academic standards. We understand the value of time for researchers, and our aim is for an efficient review process, with acceptance periods typically between 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the review.

Leading this vision is our esteemed Editor-in-Chief, Dr. A. Mahalakshmi, Associate Professor, Dept of Tamil, Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College. Her expertise and dedication are instrumental in shaping the journal's direction and upholding its scholarly integrity.

We've designed Kalanjiyam to be as inclusive and far-reaching as possible. As an online publication, our reach is truly international. We embrace scholarship in both Tamil (தமிழ்) and English, fostering a multi-lingual dialogue that celebrates the diverse linguistic landscape of Tamil studies. And, as a quarterly journal, we promise a regular infusion of fresh, groundbreaking research into the academic community.

We're thrilled that our efforts are already being recognized. Kalanjiyam is proudly indexed by Google Scholar and many other reputable research databases, ensuring that the work published within our pages gains the visibility and impact it deserves.
